- Canary Wharf’s East Wintergarden will host an exclusive, unplugged set with Morcheeba’s Skye Edwards and Ross Godfrey: In Concert with Skye & Ross
- Doors open at 7pm for a 7.45pm start
- Up-and-coming musician Bea Munro will support the duo
Morcheeba’s lead singer Skye Edwards and founder and guitarist Ross Godfrey reunite for an exclusive one-off acoustic set at Canary Wharf’s East Wintergarden next month. The concert will take place on Friday 2nd October.
Drawing on influences from trip hop, rock, adult contemporary, folk-rock and downtempo, Morcheeba has produced eight studio albums since 1995, two of which reached the top ten and to date they have sold over 7m albums worldwide.
The gig offers concert-goers the rare opportunity to hear the duo who produced some of the most recognisable tracks of the ‘90s and early noughties, including ‘The Sea’ and ‘Otherwise’, taken from the albums ‘Big Calm’ and ‘Charango’.
Supporting the duo will be singer-songwriter Bea Munro who is tipped by industry insiders as one to watch. Hailing from London, the young musician is inspired by the sounds of Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, and adds her signature, modern spin to the iconic sounds of the ‘60s.
In 2010, Morcheeba reunited briefly to produce their seventh album ‘Blood Like Lemonade’ to industry acclaim. Meanwhile lead singer Skye has also pursued a solo career and has recently finished her fourth album alongside producer Robert Logan.
