Ice Rink Canary Wharf Returns with Q on Ice pop-up bar and restaurant

Canary Wharf is proud to announce the long-awaited return of its unique open air ice rink. This year joined by restaurant and pop up bar Q on Ice from 1st November 2014 until 28th of February 2015, this enchanting ice rink will transform Canada Square Park into a magical festive landscape.

Set amidst the towering skyline of Canary Wharf and the cosy confines of Canada Square Park, Ice Rink Canary Wharf is designed with a difference. It features London’s only skate path, a passage through fairy-lit trees around Canada Square Park’s iconic ‘Big Blue’ sculpture by British designer Ron Arad. The rink and skate path combined comprise almost 1100m2 of ice, making Ice Rink Canary Wharf one of the largest outdoor rinks in the capital.

A festive favourite, this stunning ice rink will once again provide a breath-taking illuminated backdrop for Canary Wharf’s visitors to skate along to their favourite Christmas tunes amidst the spectacular vista of twinkling lights and decorations. This ice rink is the perfect venue for a romantic date, a family day out or to have a fun with friends.

Opening in good time to welcome Christmas parties and festive celebrations, the rink welcomes groups, families and children aged four and above, with doors opening every day except Christmas Day.

Q on Ice offers a wide selection of food and drink. Sample the BBQ menu and raw bar, or treat yourself to some winter inspired cocktails and craft beers whilst watching the ice skating action. Based on Des McDonald’s ‘Q Grill’ in Camden and following the success of their On the Roof with Q pop up at Selfridges this summer, the menu is packed with the best seasonal produce, lots of locally sourced ingredients and secret seasonings.

A truly spectacular venue and one of East London’s biggest winter attractions, the Canary Wharf Ice Rink is the only place to skate this winter.
