End End’s Top Sporting Talent to Be Honoured at Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf Group is calling for nominations for the eleventh annual Canary Wharf Sports Awards, which celebrate the best local sporting talent.

The award categories comprise the Individual Achievement Award, Senior Team of the Year, Junior Team of the Year, Group of the Year and the Voluntary Commitment Award, with prestige, trophies and cash prizes up for grabs in each category.

The Awards will also honour the ultimate Canary Wharf Sports Personality of the Year. Past winners include aspiring Olympic athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton and young tennis prodigy Lucas Taylor, who won the award last year.

Entries close on 25 November and the awards ceremony will be held at the East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf on 2 February 2012.

Over the past few years we have been doing our best to get young local sportspeople excited about achieving in sport; giving them aspiration, knowledge and facilities to excel.”
