Your stay, your way: Canary Wharf’s first aparthotel now open – 04.02.25

There’s a new way to stay in Canary Wharf, the neighbourhood’s first aparthotel, Vertus Edit, is now open.

Operated by Vertus, the 378 studio apartments meet the needs of business travellers, city explorers, and fun-lovers alike.

Designed with flexibility in mind, Vertus Edit offers guests the chance to curate their perfect stay. Studios feature everything needed for a short or extended stays – private fully equipped kitchens, comfy double beds, and sleek, modern bathrooms.  Interior designs have been inspired by the vivid colours synonymous with Wes Anderson’s signature cinematic style, with retro and eclectic pieces rich in style and texture, creating spaces guests can’t wait to return to.

Whilst they stay, guests can take full advantage of communal lounges, terraces, bookable meeting rooms/dining rooms, co-working spaces, and a gym. An expertly curated events programme ensures that guests not only stay connected but also create unforgettable memories in one of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.

Your Vertus Edit

Set in the heart of Wood Wharf, Vertus Edit offers the freedom for guests to plan their stay, their way – whether that’s unwinding in the neighbourhood’s mix of green and blue spaces, dining at one of its premier restaurants and bars, or checking out its action-packed calendar of events and activities, including the iconic Winter Lights festival.

For the adventure seekers, Vertus Edit sits opposite THE CUBE – the ultimate immersive gaming experience – whilst the Wharf also offers open-water swimming, electric go-karting, and scenic rides on GoBoats through the docks. Furthermore, East London’s hidden gems and bustling local boroughs are just a short stroll or train ride away.

More than a place to stay

With unbeatable transport links via the Elizabeth line, DLR, and Jubilee line, Vertus Edit is perfect for those swift business trips – Heathrow Airport is just 45 minutes away direct, while London City Airport is only 15 minutes by train – or for exploring all the capital has to offer. Plus, with The O2 and ExCeL London close by, guests are perfectly placed for both work and play.

What’s more, visitors will be staying in one of London’s most sustainable neighbourhoods. Canary Wharf has run on renewable energy since 2012, sent no waste to landfill since 2009 whilst continuing to champion biodiversity with their partnership with world-renowned charity the Eden Project.  Vertus Edit weaves sustainability into the fibres of its design and operation. Its ESG commitment extends throughout, from eco-friendly laundry services and biodegradable cleaning products to a collaboration with Kankan, an East London brand creating all-natural toiletries in plastic-free packaging. Forging a connection with the wider neighbourhood, Vertus Edit has partnered with not-for-profit artist collective East London Printmakers, evoking a sense of east London’s creative heritage within the studios. By prioritising energy efficiency, waste reduction and community engagement Vertus Edit proudly contributes to Canary Wharf Group’s broader environmental social impact goals.

Alastair Mullens, Managing Director of Residential, at CWG, said: “Vertus Edit gives guests the flexibility to plan their stay, their way – it provides a sanctuary to recharge, and a springboard for a night out. Whether you’re here for an extended business trip or just spending a night in the city to catch a show, Vertus Edit lets you enjoy London your own way.
