Yolk brings fine fast food to Canary Wharf – 14.07.22

Yolk is excited to announce the launch of a fourth site in London this month, serving up its legendary breakfasts and lunches to the residents and officegoers of Canary Wharf. The site is open 7 days a week 7am-5pm Monday – Friday, 8am-5.30pm Saturday and 11am-5pm Sunday.

The opening brings London’s finest fast food to the city’s business capital. Staying true to the brand’s ethos, the new site will serve only produce of the utmost quality – think St Ewe eggs; Ozone coffee; and slow-fermented bread from Celtic Bakers in north London. Locals and workers alike will delight in Yolk’s premium on-the-go offering, from sandwiches filled with freshly roasted marinated chicken thighs and dripping in nduja mayonnaise; Bacon Baps with sweet-cured streaky bacon; to poached egg pots with ham hock and house-made hollandaise. The time-poor guest will enjoy the brand’s slick new self-ordering kiosk system, trialled successfully at Yolk’s other sites; and can also order online here from Yolk’s Click & Collect system. Yolk also offers corporate catering, delivered free when ordered on their online platform here.

Breakfast and lunch are prepared freshly on-site, with signature sauces at the heart of Yolk’s offering – from the house-made Bearnaise on the Steak Bearnaise sandwich (with 14-hour cooked bavette steak, bearnaise, caramelised balsamic onion & rocket), to the buffalo-inspired Secret Sauce on their Avo-Mushroom Bap (soy-glazed portobello mushroom, smashed avocado & secret sauce) and the spicy peanut flavours of the Bang Bang Chicken Salad (freshly roasted chicken, bang-bang dressing, pickled daikon, carrot, coriander, sesame). Their Fudgy Brownie is also not to be missed, emanating a slightly salty chocolate goodness. The Yolk team prides itself on elevating London’s fast-food scene, with ingredients of exceptional quality and a creative culinary approach. The team is also working on an evening menu, to be launched at Canary Wharf in August – think Chicken Parmigiana or Meatball Marinara buns, loaded fries and Mac & Cheese.

Yolk was founded in 2014 by Nick Philpot and, after a series of residencies and pop-ups, it put down roots in 2018 with a permanent spot-on New St Square, followed by a Broadgate site in 2019 and a Soho site in Golden Square earlier this year. Philpot and co-founder Alkesh Tandon continue to explore further expansion opportunities for the near future.
