After much deliberation from our panel of judges, the winners of Canary Wharf Wildlife Photography Competition 2017 were announced at an awards ceremony on Friday 8th December.
Now in its third year, the competition is open to all amateur photographers and invites residents, employees, tenants and visitors to photograph the diversity of flora and fauna around the Estate.
Last month, twenty-five shortlisted entries were on display in Adams Plaza Bridge. From these shortlisted entries, a winner from each category was selected. The winner of the ‘Junior’ category was Frank Miller. Ioana Marinca secured the ‘Around the Streets and Gardens’ prize, with Amanda Burgess winning the ‘Dawn and Dusk’ category. Mirko Fabio won the ‘Geometric and Organic’ category and the ‘Wildlife and Water’ category was awarded to Letty Clark
From these category winners, the overall winner of the 2017 Wildlife Photography Competition was Letty Clark with her strong yet playful photo, Sammy Strikes a Pose, captured near North Dock.
The winner of each category received a £100 Canary Wharf Gift Card, with the overall winner receiving a further £100 Canary Wharf Gift Card.
