Alastair Mullens, Head of Vertus, comments, “For 10 George Street to be awarded Gold for the Best BtR Project at this year’s What House? Awards is a fantastic achievement. We welcomed our first residents to the building in February this year, just before the first lockdown, so we’re ecstatic that 2020 has ended with such great a win. Congratulations to all the team for their hard work!”
10 George Street was designed by GRID Architects and comprises 327 apartments. The scheme creates a new benchmark for build-to-rent living, with residents’ needs at the heart of every consideration from the design to the maintenance of the building. Residents can sign a flexible tenancy to suit their own needs, with varied deposit options available.
The apartments’ interiors are in an open-plan format to accentuate natural light throughout, with high-specification appliances. The homes are fully-furnished by Camerich and residents have autonomy over interior decorations. The first-class amenities at the development include Vertus Plus, a private residents’ space which has been furnished by interior design house Angel O’Donnell.
Vertus Plus provides a lounge, private event space and bar area with automatic wine dispensers. There is additionally an expansive south-facing garden terrace, which offers panoramic views across the South Dock and wider Canary Wharf skyline.
