Canary Wharf Group (CWG) secures new leases totalling 18,000 sq ft with Telehouse International Corporation of Europe and HireRight, each adding to the expanding community of businesses in Wood Wharf’s 20 Water Street.
Telehouse, a leading global data centre service provider and subsidiary of leading telecommunications company KDDI Corporation, is moving its London headquarters to a 12,000 sq ft lease in 20 Water Street. Separately, HireRight, an innovative employment screening solutions provider, is taking 6,000 sq ft as their London headquarters also in the building. 20 Water Street’s industrial style building offers workspaces with open floor plates, terraces on every level and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the waterside.
This lease adds to CWG’s strongest leasing year in over a decade to over 780,000 sq ft.
Mark Pestridge, Executive Vice President and General Manager at Telehouse said, “Our relocation to 20 Water Street marks a significant milestone in creating a modern and dynamic workplace that fosters collaboration and engagement for our people. Located in one of London’s most vibrant business districts, our new office offers excellent transport links and amenities. The move reflects our commitment to providing an environment that promotes productivity and employee wellbeing and underpins the future growth of our organisation.”
HireRight said, “Securing space at 20 Water Street represents an exciting milestone for HireRight. The building’s BREEAM Gold certification reinforces our dedication to sustainability and our own net zero pathway whilst, simultaneously, offering first-class facilities for our team both during and after work hours.”
Tarun Mathur, Director Office Leasing at CWG said, “We’re delighted to welcome both Telehouse and HireRight to 20 Water Street. These lettings reflect the strong demand for high-quality workspace with outstanding sustainability credentials, a vibrant surrounding neighbourhood and excellent transport links. Seeing businesses of different sectors choose to grow here demonstrates the strength of the community we’ve built.”
Telehouse and HireRight join a diverse range of customers in 20 Water Street including British digital bank Zopa, JLL, Kadans Science Partner’s London Innovation Centre, AviadoBio and Broadwick Studios. Each floor of the 13-storey building offers outdoor space and is complemented at street level by east London brewery Crate, restaurant Patty&Bun and recording studio members club Qube East.
