Eleven days of extensive entertainment in Canada Square Park when Canary Wharf hosts its very own spectacular pop up venue – a sparkling Spiegeltent with an eclectic programme of fabulous daytime & evening entertainment
This September, a fantastic line up of acts returns to Canada Square Park in Canary Wharf for the much-anticipated return of their Spiegeltent. This year’s programme promises to bring endless entertainment including comedy, music, dance, cabaret, acrobatics, variety and theatre.
Launching the festival is Las Vegas veteran ‘Marlene’ with her Variety Pack, an amazing new cabaret show filled with jaw dropping stunts and sublime glamour. Visitors can continue the celebrations and indulge in cabaret performances from South Bank favourites ‘Black Cat Cabaret’, who will be displaying exceptional acrobats, comics, dancers and singers, creating an intoxicating atmosphere.
Award-winning impressionist and sharp stand-up Jess Robinson and her live band, will race through hundreds of impressions, with classical music for children and swing and folk for adults. Visitors can also put their best foot forward and join The London Academy of Dance for a beginners swing class.
Daytime is playtime with a fantastic selection of activities for children, families and the free lunchtime events will ease the lunchtime pressure. There are kid’s fun workshops, sing-a-longs and lots more – the Spiegeltent’s programme is full to the brim with events for all to enjoy.
The original Spiegeltent were spectacular pavilions travelling around Europe as sumptuous fairground attractions. Lovingly re-made for the 21st Century, the Spiegeltent creates a uniquely atmospheric setting with their circular wooden floors, cosy booths, polished mirrors, ornate windows, large bar, deep red curtains and painted pillars. Coming back to Canary Wharf for its third year, the Spiegeltent is a truly magical place to be both night and day.
