  • Thirty Casson Square has welcomed its first residents, with selection of apartments and communal areas fully-opened
  • Remainder of building set to complete by Spring 2020
  • 95% of apartments have sold, with only eight residences remaining
  • The collection of eight upper level apartments enjoy stunning vistas, taking in St. Paul’s Cathedral, the City, the Shard, River Thames, London Eye and Houses of Parliament
  • Contemporary interiors by world-class design house Johnson Naylor
  • Prices announced for the exclusive two-bedroom apartments, starting from £2.2 million

Thirty Casson Square, the second residential building to open at Southbank Place, has welcomed its first residents. Following the opening of the ground floor reception, building concierge, communal areas and apartments on the lower levels, the 29-storey Squire & Partners-designed tower is coming to life.

The stone-clad development, designed to remain in keeping with the aesthetic set by the iconic Shell Tower, has been one of the most popular buildings on the development, with 95% of the 166 units sold to date.

Situated on the upper and penthouse levels of the building, the eight remaining two and three bedroom apartments range in price from £2.2 million to £7.75 million. Each apartment comprises a mixture of bedroom suites, bathrooms and open-plan kitchen/dining & living area, with some benefitting from a 75 sq. ft. corner balcony.

The views on offer are some of the best in the capital with direct aspects onto the River Thames, London Eye and Houses of Parliaments, as well as vistas of the City, the Shard and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Award-winning design house Johnson Naylor have created carefully considered interiors that create calm, yet contemporary apartments, with an emphasis on natural light and maximising views.

One of the first buildings to launch at Southbank Place, Thirty Casson Square has attracted a mixture of buyers, including Rasmus Berglund, a Lawyer based in The City and Boon Lim a retired doctor, previously based in Australia.

One of the first purchasers at Thirty Casson Square, Rasmus had been searching the local area for the perfect new home, but hadn’t found what he was looking for until he took a tour of the dedicated marketing suite and show apartments located in County Hall: “I looked at other apartments and houses close by, but was particularly attracted to the development not just in terms of the location but also in relation to the interesting architecture and the level of amenities, such as the large gym, swimming pool and cinema room.”

Attracted by the buzz of living in a prime central London location, Boon Lim and his wife Sally are looking forward to exploring the city as part of an active retirement: “My wife Sally and I like the city life and apartment living is the way to go as we are downsizers. We have been living in apartments since we moved to Australia, so Southbank Place offers us the perfect lifestyle with a home that suits our needs, with facilities such as the gym and swimming pool that we can really enjoy.”

Situated between Waterloo and County Hall, with Westminster a short walk over the River Thames, Southbank Place is arguably one of London’s best located developments. Residents will enjoy excellent transport links including a new entrance into Waterloo Station with access to the Jubilee, Northern and Bakerloo lines, as well as rail services to the South and South West of England. The Development is also a stone’s throw from some of the city’s best-known attractions and landmarks, as well as theatres, art galleries and fine dining, which all can be found along the South Bank.

Residents at Thirty Casson Square also benefit from access to an 18,000 sq. ft residents-only health & fitness facility, designed in the style of a five-star hotel spa by interior specialists; Goddard Littlefair. Located beneath the Southbank Place development, the space includes steam and sauna rooms, gymnasium, 25-metre swimming pool, treatment rooms, wet room and individual exercise rooms. With the space flexible to meet ever-changing fitness trends, there is also a hair and beauty bar and spa treatment room for those in need of some rest and relaxation.

Prices at Thirty Casson Square start from £2,200,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. For further information on Southbank Place or to book an appointment in the marketing suite visit www.southbank-place.com or call 020 7001 3600.
