Patty&Bun open their biggest site yet in Canary Wharf – 09.08.22

Patty&Bun is beyond excited to open their 11th knock out shop in Canary Wharf this month at the new 23-acre Wood Wharf development. It will be Patty’s biggest site yet with 50 covers inside and a further 30 covers outside – ensuring there is plenty of space for fans to get their P&B fix. In true Patty style they are kicking off with a ruckus pair of collaborations to celebrate the opening.

Perfect for group bookings Patty&Bun have teamed up with London’s favourite underdog brewery Forest Road to deliver the Capital’s first ever ‘DIY Patty Kegs’ – a massive 5L or 10L keg delivered to tables with guests able to pour their own pints. What could be better than burgers and bottomless beer?!

Plus, Patty have teamed up with the award-winning British steak house, Hawksmoor, to create ‘The Big Matty,’ an iconic twist on their ‘Big Matt,’ featuring two double Rubia Gallega x Frissona Galician Beef Patties. Created by Hawksmoor executive chef Matt Brown, The Big Matt is a 3-star tribute to a childhood favourite, currently featuring on the menu of their new floating Wood Wharf bar – The Lowback.

Owner Joe Grossmann says: “We couldn’t be more excited to open our 11th and biggest site at Canary Wharf this August, it’s great to be able to extend the Patty family and be part of a sensational new and expanding community in such a lively area of London.”

Visitors can get ahead now and grab a 50% off food flyer to eat in at the restaurant from the iconic pop-up van ‘Shirley’ which will be in Montgomery Square lunch markets every Thursday in August (50% off valid Mon-Fri.)

Stuart Fyfe, Managing Director Retail Leasing at Canary Wharf Group says; “We have admired the sheer energy and drive of the Patty&Bun team for many years. We identified them as a perfect offer to add to food offer in Wood Wharf and believe they will enhance the extraordinary environment we have created. The pops ups they have done already show they will be hugely popular and we fully expect many residents, visitors and office workers to enjoy their amazing burgers day and night.”

The Canary Wharf menu will feature all the Patty classics, alongside craft beers and cocktails, as well as their monthly specials. In addition, the site will have ‘SideChick’, their sister Roast Chicken & Sides brand available for delivery to the surrounding catchments. Born out of lockdown the brand has become a cult delivery, with availability in East and West London currently along with the bricks & mortar site on James St (next door to original Patty).

The new site will be their third this year, following on from Northcote Road and Portobello Road. The Patty team can’t wait to bring the good vibes to this new and exciting community of Canary Wharf.
