One Park Drive wins prestigious New London Award – 01.12.22

Canary Wharf Group’s One Park Drive, the fourth tallest residential building in London, has been crowned as the Best Large Housing Scheme by New London Architecture

One Park Drive, Wood Wharf’s landmark residential building, has been awarded Best Large Housing Scheme 2022 at the New London Awards. The building, designed by Herzog & de Meuron, has become one of the Estate’s defining architectural landmarks and is acknowledged as a globally significant piece of architecture for London.

The New London Awards, run by New London Architecture (NLA) – the world’s leading centre for excellence for the built environment – recognise the capital’s highest-quality and most innovative new projects across commercial and residential, planned or completed over the last 12 months. The awards have been running for the last nine years and the Best Large Housing Scheme category celebrates exemplary multi-unit residential projects across all tenures, including open-market-value projects as well as affordable housing developments.

Comprising 483 apartments over 58 storeys characterised by four different typologies – the lower Loft, middle Cluster, upper Bay apartments and Panoramic penthouses – One Park Drive also offers state-of-the-art amenities designed by GA Design, split over the ground and first floors. Residents benefit from a sophisticated entrance lobby with 24-hour concierge services, as well as a library, a cinema room and a lounge on the ground floor, whilst the first floor houses an exclusive residents-only health club.

Brian De’ath, Managing Director of Residential Sales at Canary Wharf Group said: “One Park Drive is an iconic building that has quickly become an integral part of the London skyline due to its inimitable and inspiring architecture. The cornerstone of our new residential neighbourhood, Wood Wharf, it’s a highly sought-after place to live, not least because of its striking design, but also the wealth of amenities available within the building and the surrounding neighbourhood. We are very pleased to have won this prestigious award, which is testament to the imagination, tenacity and relentless pursuit of the highest standards, demonstrated by our team and partners.”
