One Park Drive Wins Development of Year at the PROPS Awards – 12.05.22

Canary Wharf Group’s flagship residential building, One Park Drive, has won the coveted prize of Development of the Year at the PROPS Awards

One Park Drive has won the Development of the Year award at the renowned PROPS Awards, further highlighting the building’s high-quality offer and its unique design.

One Park Drive, designed by world-renowned architects, Herzog & de Meuron, represents not only a globally significant piece of architecture for London, but also the very best of 21st century urban waterside living at Canary Wharf’s new neighbourhood, Wood Wharf, the new 23-acre neighbourhood within the Canary Wharf estate.

Owning a circular, geometric form, One Park Drive is arguably one of the most distinctive residential buildings on the capital’s skyline, created by the stacking, rotation and mirroring of individual floor plates. The building offers state-of-the-art amenities, including 24-hour concierge, full equipped gymnasium, and 20-metre swimming pool.

The PROPS Awards is a standout event in the UK property industry calendar. The awards recognise and celebrate individuals and companies who have excelled in the sector, whilst raising vital funds for Variety, a charity that supports children and young people around the UK by funding and delivering life-changing programs.

The Development of the Year award recognises exceptional residential developments, with the judging committee looking for outstanding projects with a clear strategy, innovation, sustainability, and the ‘wow’ factor.

Melanie Conway, Associate Director of Residential Sales at Canary Wharf Group, said: “One Park Drive has quickly developed a reputation as one of the most distinctive residential buildings in London. It is an outstanding achievement to win Development of the Year at this year’s PROPS Awards, something which further solidifies recognition of One Park Drive’s presence as an iconic landmark in London’s skyline.”

Wood Wharf is a new 23-acre neighbourhood within the Canary Wharf estate, which will comprise up to 3,600 new homes, 350,000 sq. ft. of shops and restaurants, 2 million sq. ft. of office space, a new NHS doctor’s surgery and two-form primary school. Amongst this will sit lively high streets, green public spaces and walkways. With the addition of the largest urban rail project in Europe, the Elizabeth line, Canary Wharf is provided with all the transport it needs to grow to full capacity, offering space for an extra 342,000 to travel in and out over the course of a day. Residents will benefit from a year-round programme of arts, music, sport and events, many of which are free.
