Newfoundland is Highly Commended at Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2021 – 24.09.21

Vertus, Canary Wharf Group’s residential leasing arm is delighted to announce that its Newfoundland development was highly commended at the 30th edition of the Evening Standard New Homes Awards.

The accolade celebrates the outstanding architecture of Newfoundland, the tallest Build to Rent tower in the UK, designed by award-winning London architects, Horden Cherry Lee. Standing over 58-storeys and comprising 636 stylish and modern apartments, from studios to three-bedrooms, Newfoundland is an architectural and engineering masterpiece redefining the London skyline with uninterrupted views eastwards over Canary Wharf and Docklands and westwards towards the City and rest of the capital.

The Evening Standard New Homes Awards recognise the very best new homes across the UK, with 16 categories, encompassing the whole new-build market, from first-time buyer flats to luxurious mansions: from eco-homes to those with outstanding architectural merit, and from boutique apartment projects to large-scale regeneration schemes.

For the Development of Outstanding Architecture Merit Award, the panel of expert judges carried out a rigorous assessment taking into consideration the architectural innovation, internal and external design along with how the architecture defines overall quality of the scheme.
