New Opening: Feels Like June brings Sunny Californian All-Day Dining to Canary Wharf – 28.07.22

On Monday 1 August, Feels Like June will open its doors in Wood Wharf, Canary Wharf’s new neighbourhood, welcoming residents, workers and visitors alike for early morning coffees, laid back lunches and leisurely drinks that roll into dinner. Inspired by the sunny climes of California, Feels Like June will be open all day, serving generous plates of fresh, Europe-meets-West Coast flavours that bring a drop of coastal warmth to the city.

For those stopping by first thing, hot coffee will be frothed using house-made nut milks, with a counter laden with freshly baked croissants, pistachio and almond danishes, pastrami and mustard buns and glazed cinnamon buns. Plentiful bowls of house-made granola, coconut yoghurt, pink grapefruit and blueberries will be served alongside acai bowls with almond butter, cacao nibs, goji berries, bee pollen and summer berries. If looking for something a little more indulgent, banana buttermilk pancakes will be piled high and topped with maple syrup, crème fraîche and macadamia nuts. A breakfast burrito will be packed with potato, cheddar cheese, eggs, pico de gallo, avocado and salsa rojo, while a selection of egg dishes, breakfast baps and avocado on toast will be on offer too.

Lunchtime will see the buzzy spot starting up its all-day menu. Small plates will include a twist on the US favourite, tater tots, with a cacio e pepe filling and served with a pecorino aioli. Guacamole with salsa roja and tortilla chips, seasonal crudités with green goddess dressing and a mezze plate will all be on the menu for guests to share. Main dishes will feature a Caesar schnitzel with anchovies and tossed salad, a double smash burger with cheddar, pickles, caramelised onion and French fries and a shrimp taco with tarragon and old bay served in a parker house roll with salted crisps on the side.

Salads will be available too, both to eat in and to grab on the go for those who don’t have time to stop. The salad menu will include the likes of the Tribe Caesar, with grilled chicken, parmesan, croutons and house dressing, and the Italian Chopped Salad made with radicchio, asparagus, salami, provolone, olives, tomatoes, oregano and a red wine vinaigrette.

As the summer sun goes down, the balmy terrace will be open for after-work drinks and dinner al fresco with colleagues or friends. Cocktails will be shaken up all evening and into the early hours while relaxed soul and funk music provides chilled sundowner vibes. A selection of cocktails on tap will be poured, with others providing refreshing fruity flavours like the Rhubarb Cosmopolitan, made with lemon vodka, curaçao, rhubarb, citrus and lemon zest, or for something a little more spirituous, the PB&B made with bourbon, honey liqueur, peanut butter, bitters and orange. The wine list will nod to the West Coast, featuring bottles from the Golden State valleys, with lagers and IPAs from the US on hand for those who prefer beer

Feels Like June will be a bright, airy space lined with soft banquettes, lush planting and cool retro tiles. The use of natural textures and a green colour palette will create a sense of bringing the outside in, so whether guests are settled inside with a laptop or venturing out to the expansive terrace the space will provide a relaxed summer setting.
