Ice Rink Canary Wharf, London’s longest running seasonal ice rink, will return to Canada Square Park this October, offering visitors a magical skate session in the heart of Canary Wharf.
Open to the public from Saturday 21 October 2023 until Saturday 24 February 2024, skaters have the opportunity to enjoy the ice during Halloween, the festive-period and even on Valentine’s Day. Spanning 1,275 sq m, this year’s rink returns with a festive addition until December as the central podium will become home to a beautiful Christmas tree under a suspended giant mirrored ball, casting shimmers across the ice as visitors skate under Canary Wharf’s starry skyline. With plenty of sessions each day, a skate across the ice is the perfect way to unwind and get into the festive spirit with family, friends or colleagues.
This year skaters can enjoy themed sessions throughout the season including a Halloween Spectacular and 80’s, 90’s and Soul Classics nights, meaning there is something for every skater to enjoy a twirl on the ice to this winter.
For those looking to rest their legs, The Grandstand Bar will transform into a cosy rink-side alpine themed retreat and makes the perfect spot to watch the skating following a long day at the office, drink in hand. Home to a rink-side DJ and serving up winter warmers and post-skate coolers, there is no better spot to take in all the action.
Located in the heart of Canary Wharf, the ice rink is surrounded by over 300 restaurants, bars, and stores – a one-stop shop for an unmissable winter day out. From newly opened Fish Game and Blacklock for a bite to eat, or a competitive afterwork outing to Clay’s, the interactive clay shooting bar, Canary Wharf has something for everyone to enjoy, both on and off the ice.
Those looking to soak up more of what the Wharf has to offer can download Canary Wharf’s free app to stay up to date on the latest upcoming events, discounts and retailer promotions.
Ice Rink Canary Wharf will be open every day between Saturday 21 October and Saturday 24 February, except Christmas Day. The minimum age to skate is four and skate aids will be available on a first come first served basis, located at the ice rink customer service desk. In addition, Ice Rink Canary Wharf will be bringing back its popular schools’ programme offering hundreds of children from local schools the chance to hit the ice for free on weekday mornings throughout the season.
Tickets will go on sale Monday 25 September, with both peak and off-peak prices available, in addition to concessionary rates on selected skate sessions. Click here for more information about the ice rink
