Floating Flower Display Illuminates Canary Wharf for Diwali – 02.11.21

Festival of lights celebrated with stunning floral display in Jubilee Park

Free attraction will light up water fountain from Tuesday 2 to Sunday 7 November

Canary Wharf’s Jubilee Park will be lit up by a glowing floral display this week in celebration of Diwali.

In honour of the event also referred to as the festival of lights, colourful lotus flowers will float along the water fountain that winds through the park, lighting it up in a multicoloured display. Inspired by the Indian artwork of Rangoli and light Divas, each flower will spill shimmering lights into the water as it drifts along.

The free attraction runs until Sunday and visitors are encouraged to come in the evening, with the lights coming on from 5-11pm.

The Hindu festival is a five day celebration with the main day falling on Thursday 4 November this year, and traditionally marks the triumph of light over dark and good over evil. It is celebrated all over the world and is famous for the light shows and fireworks used to mark the occasion.

Find Canary Wharf’s floral Diwali display in the Jubilee Park water fountain. It is free to visit and runs from Tuesday 2 to Sunday 7 November, 5-11pm.
