  • Giant 5 metre hook-a-duck-style installation set to float in North Dock, directly outside entrance
  • Prosecco-infused candy floss and boozy sweets give guests a taste of the fairground at the adults-only venue
  • London’s most exciting street food vendors have lined up to join the fun
  • This is the funfair… exactly like you don’t remember

A first of its kind, immersive fairground experience is set to open its doors in early October in the heart of Canary Wharf. Following four years of development, Fairgame is revolutionising the funfair, offering guests the chance to re-awaken their inner kid in a state-of-the-art, adults-only playground – for the ultimate night out.

Fairgame brings your fairground favourites back – from whac-a-mole and roll-a-ball derby to duck shoot and water gun clown. Every game has been redesigned and is hooked up to RFID wristband tech so that players can log scores, track leader boards, and battle it out for Fairgame’s giant pink teddies – as well as bragging rights.

Complete with a giant hook-a-duck-style installation floating on the river outside, passers-by won’t be able to help but say “holy duck!” when they clock it. Fairgame doesn’t just represent a revolution in the fairground experience, it’s a revolution in fairground food too. Customers will enjoy some of London’s most exciting street food vendors, including Burger & Beyond, Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana and masters of Mexican, Dos Mas Tacos. Loaded with Prosecco[1]infused candy floss, Hackney Gelato, boozy sweets and toffee apples, Fairgame’s Candy Stand is suitable for all children aged 18+.

An expertly crafted drinks menu is available from the venue’s three ‘Bumper Bars’. Fairground-themed signature cocktails have been created in collaboration with one of the world’s best bartenders – and with small-batch artisanal spirits, classic boozy slushies and London-brewed craft beer – there’s something for everyone. Food and drinks packages can be purchased in advance, with pre-paid tokens loaded onto gamers’ wristbands when they check in.

Award-winning interior designer Patrick McKinney has helped bring this unique experience to life. Traditional fairground elements including luminous carousel booths floating above the space, fairground mirrors and rubber duck installations have been woven into this modern riverside location. The result is a space designed to be enjoyed whether you’re eating, drinking, playing – or all three.

The concept is being launched by experienced entrepreneurs Richard Hilton, founder of Gymbox; Paul Campbell, founder and owner of Hill Capital Partners LLP (who currently sits on the and board of Hawksmoor, Blacklock, the Alchemist and Yard Sale Pizza), and renowned entertainment lawyer, Andrew Myers. Fairgame’s first site is backed by a £3.5 million investment from BGF – the UK and Ireland’s most active growth capital investor – and £1.5 million from a consortium of private investors.

Richard Hilton, co-founder and CEO of Fairgame, commented: “Fairgame is a totally immersive experience where guests can eat, drink and be a kid again. The fairground has been enjoyed for generations and now we’ve combined the games everyone loves with state-of-the-art technology in an unbelievable setting. Guests will have the ultimate feeling of nostalgia: a proper ‘those were the days’ moment – now back as an epic night out.”

Stuart Fyfe, Managing Director of Canary Wharf Group commented: “Fairgame will be a massively exciting and unique offer to Canary Wharf which I am convinced will attract a huge number of visitors. I am certainly not alone in really looking forward to competing with friends and colleagues at Fairgame while enjoying their curated drinks and food offering. The management team have been great to work with and we are confident they will deliver a winning attraction.”

Tickets start at £13 per person for the games package – which includes 75 minutes’ play time. For full details and to book, please visit www.wearefairgame.com.

Childhood is back, but for adults only. Based in Canary Wharf, just 5 minutes from central London on the newly opened Elizabeth Line, it’s the only spot you can start with a beer – and leave with a bear. High tech and nostalgia converge to create the funfair… exactly like you don’t remember.
