Emilia’s set to officially open much-anticipated Wood Wharf flagship restaurant on Valentine’s Day! – 04.02.22

The Canary Wharf restaurant will have a 2-week soft launch between Monday 14 and 27 February with the official opening date being on Monday 28 February. During the soft launch they will offer 50% off the total bill for all diners and offer bookings as well as space for walk-ins.

The new flagship site will be the first and only restaurant in the UK to offer table bocce (a twist on the classic Italian ball game), mixed with new cocktails in their debut bar area, alongside their much-loved pasta, all freshly made on site every morning.

As you enter Emilia’s Wood Wharf, you’ll immediately experience a unique atmosphere with chefs at the window making the signature fresh pasta and greeting you as you walk in. As you move further through diners and drinkers will be able to enjoy a brand-new modern-day version of the classic Italian ball game in the vibrant bar area with a custom-made 4 metre bocce table. For those looking for more intimate moments and lingering conversations, the cosy rustic restaurant section with a fully open kitchen has just the right ambience.

Their new bar menu breaks new ground by combining adventure and comfort! Guests can choose from a tempting range of curated aperitifs, cocktails, bar snacks and other drinks available exclusively at this location – perfect for enjoying riverside views, the green open spaces of Harbour Quay Gardens, and the stunning architecture of Canary Wharf.

Forget classic cocktails and try an Italian Hugo, a new take on the ubiquitous Aperol Spritz, a Chinotto Spritz, a bitter Italian twist on the traditional spritz, or a collection of crushed fresh fruit martinis. Think aromatic blackberry and basil or a perfectly paired refreshing raspberry and bay leaf.

The bar menu will also include snacks including homemade parmesan crisps, made with 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, which complement Emilia’s existing menu and signature pasta, all based on an ethos of freshness and simplicity. The famous pasta dishes, freshly made every morning with 100% natural ingredients, will still be the stars of the menu, meaning you will be able to tuck into favourites like the hearty 4-hour slow-cooked pappardelle Béchamel Bolognese and creamy homemade Genovese pesto with casarecce amongst others.

Fusing gaming with gastronomy, Emilia’s Wood Wharf will offer guests a free game of bocce complimentary with every restaurant booking (subject to availability).

About Emilia’s:

Andrew started out in the hospitality and leisure industry after starting his own poker events company at age 17 whilst studying at university. After traveling around Italy, mostly around Emilia Romagna in the North, learning the craft of pasta making, he returned to London armed with a dedication to making and serving great pasta. Andrew opened his first restaurant on a shoestring budget in St. Katharine Docks in central London in November 2016, aged just 25. In Feb 2019 he opened his second restaurant in Aldgate. The third restaurant opening in late 2021 will make Emilia’s Crafted Pasta the first dedicated pasta restaurant brand in London to have three restaurants.

All food is freshly made on site every morning with 100% natural ingredients and suppliers have been hand-picked as Emilia’s strives to work with companies, farmers and growers who care deeply about their produce and practise sustainable, regenerative farming.
