Diptyque is delighted to announce the opening of its new Canary Wharf boutique in February 2025, making it the brand’s first presence at the heart of this thriving business district. The 48 square metre boutique was designed in the style of the house’s architectural evolution. Reflective in design of the recently opened Maison Diptyque London on New Bond Street, and boutiques in Covent Garden and on Marylebone High Street, the boutique invites visitors to wander through a Parisian apartment where tradition meets imagination. Echoing the founding spirit of the brand’s first boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris, the new open plan design encourages your imagination to wander, whilst embodying the essence of Diptyque and the cultural and artisanal heritage that it embraces.
The new Canary Wharf boutique is invitingly open, generously encouraging consumers inside to discover further. As with all Diptyque boutiques, the architecture and design details embody both Parisian and local inspirations. The design has been inspired by British functionalism, with the floor made from reclaimed wood, and warm colours and materials used throughout including a focus table lacquered in a warm coral. Wood continues to be a constant throughout, with the walls surrounding the cashdesk being cladded in two different types of wood including tinted oak, which creates a checked pattern inspired by the geometrical patterns used in Berthod Lubetkin’s modernist architecture. Finally, the eye is naturally drawn to an out of scale frieze conceived by Diptyque, and hand-painted by French artist Charlotte Bohn on the fragrance counter’s wall. The new boutique will feature Diptyque’s exclusive offerings including personalisation, engraving and a curated decoration collection.
“To continue our retail expansion within the luxury space, we are delighted to announce our first ever Canary Wharf location, allowing us to be part of one of the UK’s fastest growing and thriving shopping destinations. Canary Wharf is an exciting dynamic hub that blends an engaged community of professionals, tourists and residents within a prime location of continued growth and bustling energy, making it the perfect setting to introduce our unique product offering to a new and diverse audience. We are excited to welcome new and existing visitors in the area to Diptyque’s product offering, including personalisation and engraving services.”
