Earlier this year Canary Wharf Group launched its third annual Wildlife Photography Competition. The competition invited Canary Wharf residents, employees, tenants and visitors to photograph the diversity of flora and fauna at the Estate.
With a treasure trove of wildlife at Canary Wharf, this year’s competition has once again hosted both a junior (under 18) and adult division (18 and over). Due to high volume and exceptional quality of entries, the panel of judges has shortlisted 25 pictures from each of the following categories:
• Junior (under 18)
• Around the Streets and Gardens
• Dawn and Dusk
• Geometric and Organic
• Wildlife and Water
A selection of the shortlisted entries are displayed in an exhibition at Adams Plaza Bridge near Crossrail Place from Thursday 2nd November until Saturday 2nd December 2017.
The winner of each category will receive a £100 Canary Wharf Gift Card; an overall competition winner will also be selected, winning a further £100 Canary Wharf Gift Card. Look out for the announcement of the winners next month.
Last year’s award for the ‘Streets and Gardens’ category and ‘Overall Best Photo’ was presented to Adrian Cuevas for ‘Little Canadian Goose’; a photo captured next to the Blackwall Basin.
