The APP World Tour, together with Canary Wharf Group, is hosting a free two-day SUP spectacle in the heart of London. The event will feature SUP yoga clinics, taster lessons and fun racing all day on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 September, inviting all workers, visitors and residents alike to get in the water and get active in Canary Wharf.
The event will feature SUP Yoga Clinics in the morning from 7.30am-10.30am, followed by paddling initiation and coaching sessions from 11.30am-2.30pm on both days and from 3.30pm until 6.30pm on Thursday 23 September. The two-day event will then be wrapped up with fun racing and relays on the evening of Friday 24 September.
The lessons will be hosted by APP Qualified Instructors, and with a guest appearance from one of the World Championship Tour’s greatest Stars, the sessions will provide an all-access introduction to the wonders of Stand-Up Paddling in the unique Canary Wharf environment.
These clinics will be offered free of charge thanks to Canary Wharf Group, but pre-event booking is required to reserve a spot in one or more of the hour-long slots available. Each hour will feature a welcome talk by an APP Pro, followed by either a SUP Yoga clinic or paddling session to either introduce you to the sport, or for those already initiated, provide some guidance on technique and form.
The APP World Tour and its City Paddle Festivals is Confirmed to Return to Canary Wharf in 2022 for The London SUP Open
This Taster event is a great forerunner for what is to come at Canary Wharf in 2022, as we build up to the hosting of the London SUP Open at Canary Wharf next Summer.
The London SUP Open will combine World Championship Tour Action from the World’s very best on the APP World Tour with inclusive participation for all and a wealth of water fun and activities regardless of age or ability for a very unique Festival at Canary Wharf next Summer.
The APP World Tour has been crowning World Champions for the Sport of Stand-Up Paddling since 2010 with events spanning 6 Continents and participation from 54 countries Worldwide and its City Paddle Festival approach provides a very unique and inclusive approach to sporting competition and participation, providing something for everyone regardless of age or ability.
