Canary Wharf Group appoints CBRE IM’s John Mulqueen as its Chief Investment Officer – 23.05.23

Canary Wharf Group (“CWG”) today announces it has appointed John Mulqueen as its Chief Investment Officer.  John will arrive in August 2023.

Mulqueen, currently Managing Director and Head of EMEA Offices Operator Division at CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM), will join the Executive team as part of the continued development of Canary Wharf’s vibrant mixed-use community. Canary Wharf Group continues to develop, with award-winning residential, growing leisure and retail facilities, and a diverse office portfolio attracting customers from health and life sciences, tech and other growing industries.

John brings over 30 years of real estate experience in the UK and EMEA including investment strategy, transactions, development, leasing, and management. He was previously CBRE IM’s Head of Transactions EMEA.

Prior to CBRE he was the London Group Director at Hammerson plc and worked at Liverpool Victoria Asset Management, managing commercial property asset funds across retail, industrial and offices.
