- The free, family-friendly art trail will be in place from 24 March to 27 April, raising vital funds for Elephant Family’s conservation efforts
This Easter, Canary Wharf joins in the fun of The Big Egg Hunt 2025, a free art trail organised by conservation charity Elephant Family.
In partnership with Clarence Court, Elephant Family will be bringing over 100 uniquely designed, two-foot-tall egg sculptures to London, with 18 located throughout Canary Wharf. From the elegant curves of Laxmi Hussain’s design to the abstraction of Anna Pakosz and the intricacies of Chris Carnabuci’s sculptures, each egg reveals a unique design across its curved surface.
The trail is free to attend and will run from Monday 24 March to Sunday 27 April, offering a fun day out for families and art enthusiasts alike. Visitors can download the free Big Egg Hunt app to “collect” the eggs they find and reveal prizes along the way.
The 18 Canary Wharf artworks will be displayed alongside the UK’s largest outdoor free-to-visit public art collection, featuring the likes of Henry Moore’s Draped Seated Woman, Camille Walala’s Captivated by Colour and Julian Wild’s ScribbleForm spread throughout the Wharf, complimenting CWG’s commitment to ensuring art is accessible to all. After the event, the egg sculptures will be auctioned to raise vital funds for Elephant Family. The money raised will support the charity’s work to protect Asia’s magnificent wildlife, including elephants, tigers and orangutans.
Lowri Harries, Associate Curator, Public Art at Canary Wharf Group said: “This Easter, we are proud to be one of the Big Egg Hunt hosts, giving Londoners a unique opportunity to explore our vibrant neighbourhood, with art around every corner. These fun-to-find sculptures will complement our existing free-to-visit collection, reinforcing our commitment to making art accessible to everyone.” Richard Hawkes, CEO of Elephant Family said: “The Big Egg Hunt is a vibrant celebration of art and conservation which can be enjoyed by everyone. We’re delighted it’s coming back to London and hope the exhibition will spark bigger conversations about protecting wildlife as well as raising vital funds to support our conservation work.”
