Canary Wharf Group Announces Amy French as New Head of Level39
Canary Wharf Group announces that Amy French is taking on a new role as the incoming Head of Level39, the fintech and cyber ecosystem community at the heart of Canary Wharf.
Amy, formerly Head of Ecosystem at Level39, has an unrivalled knowledge of the Level39community and her appointment comes as Ben Brabyn leaves after a successful four-year tenure as Head of Level39. Ben has overseen the growth in Level39’s global profile and the community’s evolution to become the home of fintech in London, the largest cluster of cyber start-ups in the capital and the most connected tech hub in Europe.
Under Amy French’s leadership, Level39 will continue to expand and develop the most productive environment for members and entrepreneurs looking to join a community central to the UK’s thriving tech sector. As the new Head of Level39, Amy will accelerate the best-in-class ecosystem activities, partner engagement and growth opportunities for the community. Amy will also be focusing on relationships with leading organisations in London’s tech sector and connecting members and their immediate neighbours on the Canary Wharf estate which include several of the world’s largest professional service and financial companies.
Canary Wharf Group remains committed to Level39 and Amy’s focus reflects the Group’s continuing vision that Level39 will continue to provide the best environment for companies in the tech sector as it did with Revolut and Digital Shadows – both of which have grown from start-ups at Level39 to companies employing hundreds of people across the globe.
Shobi Khan, CEO of Canary Wharf Group, comments: “We are delighted that Amy will be leading Level39. Amy is already closely involved with the Level39 community and has a clear vision for its future growth so that Level39 continues to serve its members in moving from start-up to scale-up.
We appreciate the leadership and commitment of Ben Brabyn in building and developing the tech community here at Canary Wharf and for building its global profile. We wish him well for the future.”
Amy French, Head of Level39, comments: “I am thrilled to have been appointed as the new Head of Level39 and with the opportunity to lead our brilliant team in supporting members on their growth journey. Our mission has always been to create the very best environment for businesses to scale and realise their potential and I’m excited to be taking up that mantle.
I will continue to work very closely with the community, supporting our entrepreneurs with attracting investment, talent and customers. Through our partnerships, ecosystem activities and connections at Level39, we will continue to cultivate a community of scale.”
