Canary Wharf is at the beating heart of global business. The 128 acre estate is made up of a number of different districts, each with its own distinct character — from the relaxed waterside setting of Wood Wharf, to the high-rises surrounding Canada Square Park.

The shops, restaurants and leisure brands at Canary Wharf have been carefully selected to bring the highest quality, most-well regarded, brands to the Estate. There are high street names, international brands and independent restaurants and boutiques alongside an extensive selection of services and amenities that have wide appeal.

Vertus is our build-to-rent operator and falls under the Residential arm of Canary Wharf Group. It is responsible for the lease and management of the Group’s build-to-rent developments; 10 George Street, 8 Water Street and Newfoundland comprising 1,137 apartments on the Estate.

Our Residential Sales business launched its first building, 10 Park Drive, in 2015. This was followed by One Park Drive in 2017 and 8 Harbord Square in 2021. These three buildings will provide a total of 912 private homes, with apartments in One and 10 Park Drive already occupied by residents. 

Southbank Place, a joint venture between Canary Wharf Group and Qatari Diar, sits opposite the Houses of Parliament and provides 875 homes.

Canary Wharf Group is embarking on its largest development pipeline undertaken since the 1990’s, with future developments at Park Place, North Quay, and Phase Three of Wood Wharf.

Our developments are designed, managed, constructed and delivered through Canary Wharf Contractors Ltd, world leaders in high quality developments. As Project Manager and Main Contractor, quality is at the core of everything that we do. Our unrivalled track record means we fine-tune our projects at each step of the development process.

The Estate Management team has many roles on the Estate. These include, but are not limited to, security, traffic management, health and safety, business continuity, facilities management, public spaces and landscaping; ensuring our world-class centre for commerce, retail, leisure, and living is managed to a suitably high standard.

Technology is transforming how all businesses operate — and Canary Wharf is at the very heart of that transformation. Since 2013, the Estate has been home to ‘Level39’, the world’s most connected community for finance, retail, cybersecurity and smart city technology companies.

Our arts and events team produces a diverse cultural programme each year, bringing over 200 events to the estate.  We host art exhibitions, creative workshops, family activities, festivals, food markets, live music, our spectacular award-winning Winter Lights festival and London’s largest collection of outdoor public art.

Canary Wharf Communities is our affordable rent operator and falls under the Residential arm of Canary Wharf Group. It is responsible for delivering discount market rent apartments in Wood Wharf. 30 Harbord Square is home to a collection of 176 studios, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments in Canary Wharf.
