Last week Zizzi opened its doors to a brand-new restaurant in Cabot Place, Canary Wharf. The much-anticipated restaurant launch follows recent new openings in Leicester and Lancaster and is the first London opening for the restaurant chain in 5 years.
Zizzi Canary Wharf is proud to be creating 40 local jobs in total and will seat 96 customers. The restaurant will be open to customers from 11.30am – 10pm, Monday – Sunday.
The new London restaurant takes inspiration from modern British and rustic Italian design to create a laid-back cool interior which reflects Zizzi’s fun, warm and rustic Italian personality.
Upon arrival, customers will see an eye-catching and instagrammable open shopfront featuring London yellow brick, ‘stamped’ industrial sign writing and a bar structure with green plants, all linking to the warehouse concept at Canary Wharf.
In the central entrance and focal point, customers will be greeted by signature touch points, ‘this must be the place’ mosaic tile, host stand & feature yellow tree framing the iconic terracotta Zizzi wood-fire oven.
The art wall at Zizzi Canary Wharf has been created by talented designer Natasha Russell which features 3D Georgian window panels placed within the architectural warehouse visual based on the local architecture. Customers will also be able to spot illustrative canaries within the artwork linking to the name.
Nando Laccetti General Manager of Zizzi Canary Wharf says: “We are delighted to be opening our doors today to our brand-new Zizzi Canary Wharf restaurant. It is a fantastic location to have another Zizzi restaurant in the city.
We cannot wait to see our customers sharing happy times over our delicious, much-loved and mouth-watering Italian dishes with a twist. Through the unique restaurant design taken from local hues, we are looking forward to helping our customers reconnect with each other, by creating the perfect backdrop for great times.”
