After much deliberation from our panel of judges at Canary Wharf Group, the final winners were announced yesterday at the Canary Wharf Wildlife Photography Competition Awards 2015 on Tuesday 9th February.
As part of the Canary Wharf Wildlife Photography Competition, employees, tenants, visitors and those in the community were invited to photograph the diversity of flora and fauna at the Estate. Something for all ages to partake in, the competition generated much interest and will now take place annually.
Ahead of the ceremony, the shortlisted entries were displayed in Adam’s Plaza Bridge. From these shortlisted entries, three were selected as winners in their own category. The winner of the ‘Under 15’s’ category was Noah Masters. Demi Squires secured the ’16- 24’ category; both of whom were chosen for their strong stand out images. The winner of the ‘Over 25’s’ entry was Christopher Andreou, with his ‘Curious Wagtail’ entry; a perfect image to capture the wildlife on the Estate.
To complete the ceremony, judges also decided on an overall winner, Christopher Andreou. Each winner received a £100 Canary Wharf Gift Card, with Christopher also winning an extra £100 Canary Wharf Gift Card as overall winner for 2016.
