Vertus launches exclusive collection of 10 penthouse apartments on the top floor of the UK’s tallest BTR building
Vertus, Canary Wharf Group’s residential leasing arm, has revealed the highest collection of build-to-rent apartments in the UK. Located on the 58th floor of Newfoundland, the iconic building designed by Horden Cherry Lee reaching up 220m, the newly launched penthouse-style homes offer remarkable views of London’s skyline.
With just 10 available, residents will be able to enjoy mesmerising views through floor-to-ceiling windows, surrounded by carefully curated interiors by interior designers David Phillips, as well as having access to exclusive in-building amenities that could rival those of a five-star hotel.
The exclusive collection is comprised of one and two-bedroom apartments, ranging from 703 sq. ft to 850sq. ft in size as well as three-bedroom penthouses, offering 1,788 sq. ft of sublimely arranged living space. Each apartment has been decorated using a mixture of high-quality materials, including wood, and saturated colours, helping to balance the abundance of natural light each apartment receives. The three-bedroom penthouses are equipped with wine fridges and coffee machines for residents’ convenience and enjoyment.
Level 58 residents will benefit from Vertus Plus’ extensive programme of social events organised by a dedicated in-house team. The building is home to an elegantly designed lounge and a games room, a west-facing terrace, BBQ, an outdoor children’s play area and a ‘kidult’ zone – a multifaceted work-play space, ideal for families. There, kids will be able to enjoy numerous facilities, including a rock-climbing wall with soft play surfaces, a slide and a TV zone. The building also benefits from a state-of-the-art gym and two gym studios.
In addition, residents have access to a private dining room, which can be booked for special occasions, and there is also a screening room with a wide-screen TV and games consoles, suited to a variety of different uses. A 24-hour concierge is in place to assist residents with enquiries and receive parcels, ensuring a seamless, safe and secure experience.
Those living at Newfoundland also have direct access to the latest branch of M Restaurant, the award-winning grill and cocktail bar, which is located on the first floor of the building and offers private dining rooms and an exclusive members club. Residents of Newfoundland will soon be able to also enjoy exclusive room service, with freshly prepared food from M Restaurant delivered straight to their door.
Launched in May 2021, Newfoundland has become the epitome of modern luxury living, thanks to its breath-taking views over the London skyline and enviable resident amenities, with 636 modern apartments on offer. More than 90% occupied, this award-winning building is one of the most striking in the UK, with its diagrid design distinguishable across London.
Perfectly positioned at the western end of the Estate, Newfoundland is an architectural and engineering masterpiece redefining the London skyline, with uninterrupted views eastwards over Canary Wharf and Docklands and westwards towards the City and rest of the capital. Newfoundland is connected to Canary Wharf’s wider retail and leisure offering by a recently opened bridge, which also links the building to the new Elizabeth Line underground station, just a short walk away.
Alastair Mullens, Managing Director, Vertus said: “Level 58 at Newfoundland offers residents a type of living that is usually confined to some of the world’s most sought-after buildings – it’s rare that you can buy views like this, and even rarer to be able to rent them. As the tallest BTR building in the UK, Newfoundland has quickly become an iconic addition to London’s skyline, and we’re excited that residents can now live at the top of this magnificent building whilst benefitting from the wide range of amenities it has to offer.
“Residents at Level 58 will be able to routinely take in some of the best views in the capital through floor-to-ceiling windows, while enjoying a sense of ultimate privacy. This is high-rise living at its best; it’s an urban sanctuary where you can experience luxury city living, leaving the hustle and bustle of London beneath you.”
Commenting on the design of the apartments, Mark McDonnell, Head of Design at David Phillips, added: “We’ve taken a tailored approach to the design of the Newfoundland apartments, including those on level 58, taking into consideration the unique character and layout of every home. We also wanted to reflect the building’s cutting-edge architecture in the interior design of the apartments, which meant extensive use of metal work in the details and lighting. The whole scheme is fully bespoke, with custom-made furniture created for each and every home, which adds that extra level of exclusivity to the apartments.”
Prices range between £3,791 and £9,966 pcm, which includes access to the communal amenities, concierge service, high-speed broadband and Samsung HD Smart TV with a TV licence.
