Job Summary: Reporting directly to the Head of Facilities you will ensure that residents (tenants) have the best rental experience and consistently deliver the highest levels of customer service, becoming a Vertus brand ambassador.

The Vertus team will manage all aspects of the Build to Rent assets on the Estate, as well as the initial management during the final construction programme and handover period.

The team will be based on site and will be comprised of a core group of experienced specialists and individual building management members, dedicated to the lettings and management of both the building and the apartments. This team will have a comprehensive track record of delivering excellent service and will be dedicated to meeting the needs of their customers and residents.

The Vertus team will be dedicated to providing a superlative service to residents, 24 hours a day and 365 days per year.

Main Responsibilities

  1. To carry out general checks on all Vertus areas.
  2. To take ownership of all areas handed over to Vertus from CWCL prior to PC.
  3. To complete all tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
  4. To maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the Vertus floors prior to PC.
  5. To be thoroughly familiar and comply with the CWCL’s “Health & Safety” policy and procedures and to immediately report any hazards or infringements to the HOF / CWCL.
  6. To complete all associated paperwork on a daily basis in accordance with Vertus’ procedures.
  7. To support the Vertus team with all site visits and ensure visitors are accompanied.
  8. To co-ordinate PPE for all visitors.
  9. To ensure that all handed over floors are operational and clean to a high standard.
  10. To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Vertus Management Team.
Health Safety & Welfare, Environmental and Quality Management Responsibilities
Health Safety and Welfare Responsibilities
All staff are required to fulfil their legal duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts and omissions, and to follow all guidance and instructions given in this respect. Further details regarding Health & Safety responsibilities are set out in the Health & Safety Policy in the Administrative Rules and Procedures, and the Health, Safety & Welfare Manual.

Environmental Responsibilities
All Staff are required to follow the Canary Wharf Group plc (CWG) Environmental Policies for minimisation of waste and effective energy management as defined in the CWG Environmental Manual and associated documents.

Quality Management Responsibilities
All staff are required to comply with CWG Quality Management System requirements detailed within the Company Quality Manual & Policies, and to ensure that all Procedure; Plans and Forms within InfoBase are effectively implemented to meet the set ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard.

Person Specification
  1. A CSCS qualification is desirable, if not they will be required to pass the CSCS test within the first two weeks of their employment.
  2. The incumbent must show a degree of manual dexterity and be able to follow basic instructions.
  3. Experience of working in a residential environment is essential.
  4. Good communication skills in order to liaise effectively with management and visitors.
  5. The incumbent must be self-motivated, proactive, approachable and demonstrate a willingness to assist others.
  6. Time management to achieve effective, optimum results is key.
  7. To be able to identify problems and to have the ability to actively seek solutions is essential.
  8. The incumbent must be able to adapt their way of working to suit the needs of the department as business needs change, showing flexibility and adaptability.
  9. The incumbent must have an appreciation of the importance of customer service and how this is applied in the context of Canary Wharf.
