The public consultation for the redevelopment of the North Quay site started in August 2016, there have been a number of events and exhibitions over the past few months to ensure the views and opinions of local people and users of the future site are considered and fed through to our design team. A full planning application will be submitted in Spring 2017 to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

August 2016: Members of the team visited a number of local community fun days organised by Neighbours in Poplar and SPLASH (South Poplar & Limehouse Action for Secure Housing) to introduce the site to younger members of the community.

The fun days were held during August at St Vincent’s Estate, Will Crooks Estate, Collins House and Pennyfields. A flipbook was used to introduce the site and feedback was gathered on what people would like to see from a new scheme around retail, public space and improved access.
