Ice Rink Canary Wharf returns with pop up artisan bar and restaurant The Tasting Room
London’s only skate path will return to the capital at this year’s Ice Rink Canary Wharf. Joined by The Tasting Room from 31st October 2015 until 27th of February 2016, this enchanting ice rink will transform Canada Square Park into a magical festive landscape.
Set amidst the towering skyline of Canary Wharf in Canada Square Park, Ice Rink Canary Wharf is designed with a difference. It features London’s only skate path, a passage weaving through the fairy-lit trees of Canada Square Park. The rink and skate path combined comprise almost 1100m2 of ice, making Ice Rink Canary Wharf one of the largest outdoor rinks in the capital.
A festive favourite, this stunning ice rink will once again provide a breath-taking illuminated backdrop for Canary Wharf’s visitors to skate along to their favourite Christmas tunes amidst the spectacular vista of twinkling lights and decorations. This ice rink is the perfect venue for a romantic date, a family day out or to have a fun with friends.
The Tasting Room will offer indulgent winter warmers, including hot buttered rum, mulled wine and cider, as well as a wide selection of craft ales and new and old world wines. For après skate, there is a selection of cheese fondue, artisan cheese boards and charcuterie, and a flexible dining space of up to 200 people available for private hire.
Opening in good time to welcome Christmas parties and festive celebrations, the rink welcomes groups, families and children aged four and above, with doors opening every day except Christmas Day.
Ajay Teli, Head of Strategic Consumer Communications, Canary Wharf Group said: “Our ice rink is the perfect festive venue for groups of all ages, with the unique skate path taking you through the dramatic setting of Canary Wharf. This alongside our extended Christmas shopping opening hours and free parking makes Canary Wharf the number one destination for festive retail and fun this winter.”
A truly spectacular venue and one of East London’s biggest winter attractions, Ice Rink Canary Wharf is the only place to skate this winter.
