‘Canary Rocks’ for launch of Jubilee Place extension as Canary Wharf celebrates 21 new stores
To celebrate the extension of Jubilee Place Mall and the introduction of 21 new stores to the area’s already exciting and diverse range of shops, Canary Wharf will be hosting a free shopping event, ‘Canary Rocks’, from Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd November. Featuring high end fashion shows, music and dance performances, pop up shops and fantastic offers, this shopping weekend is not one to be missed.
In celebration of the exciting new stores including Banana Republic, COS, Orlebar Brown, Pretty Ballerinas, Cadenzza, Tiger of Sweden, Monica Vinader and more, fashion shows will be taking place at Canada Place and Jubilee Place, featuring clothing from a selection of the new stores. During the fashion shows, visitors can watch out for performances by superstar break-dancers Rollin Dices, whose thrilling performances have entertained audiences all over the world. Also featured in the shows are percussionist troupe Slam, who create a spectacle of sight and sound to add to the vibrant atmosphere of the weekend. Throughout the weekend, DJ’s Urban Groove will spin their Hed Kandi and Café Del Mar inspired concoctions for a choreographed dance routine, while maverick pianist Tokio Myers will also perform both classical and alternative songs in his unique, stand out style.
Additional treats at ‘Canary Rocks’ include experiences such as an in-house nutritionist at Asics on Friday 1 November, a Bobbi Brown pop-up store in Canada Place and offers and promotions across new and existing stores including Cadenzza, The White Company, Wolford, Aquascutum, Hackett, Jaeger and LK Bennett.
Camille Waxer, Chief Administrative Officer for Canary Wharf Group, said: “We cannot wait to welcome these new stores to Canary Wharf and look forward to celebrating their arrival with Canary Rocks.”
The Jubilee Place extension totals 44,000 sq. ft. of retail space and will result in the addition of 21 new stores to Canary Wharf’s existing offer of more than 280 shops, bars, restaurants and cafés. Combined with the Group’s 115,000 sq. ft. retail development above the new Canary Wharf Crossrail Station, Jubilee Place makes Canary Wharf home to one of the largest retail expansions currently underway in the UK, part of the ever-growing, vibrant lifestyle offering at Canary Wharf.
